Tom Ashlock

President

Tom Ashlock is the visionary behind the original mission of My Shopping Community (d.b.a. Lariat), a revolutionary online business and marketing model that started in the direct-sales industry. Returning network marketing to a product-sales base rather than the dead-end of emphasizing only recruiting, he developed tools and processes to streamline sales and marketing, adding layers of organization, communication and feedback to a struggling industry.

With the success of My Shopping Community, Tom saw the opportunities his model offered for similar industries and vertical markets. He set out to develop Lariat, and is altering the way direct sales works. He oversees the company’s strategic direction, and seeks and coordinates the partnerships and ensuing relationships that form Lariat’s foundation for growth.


Prior to My Shopping Community, Tom built a position as an industry expert through his work with Amway and Quixtar. In addition, he has traditional business development experience as an owner of utility and power companies. Tom earned a medical doctorate from the National University of Mexico in Mexico City.
